About Masks & Torsos

My appreciation of headless torsos goes back to my studies of art history.   Many of the Torsos are fabricated with reclaimed, recycled and commercial fabrics. For me, using the reclaimed materials for these torsos give them artifact stature. The materials tell the stories of humanity.

I relate to the mystery of masks as they are used to disguise and conceal one’s identity. They also created to represent, and create a spirit of identity. I have collected and created masks for most of my artistic career. Why stop now?
